UNFINISHED

                                                              She leaned on his shoulder

And gazed out towards the vast horizon

Both dressed in the color of the night sky

The one she had saved for this occasion.

Fingers wrapped against each other

Their hands symbolizing unison….

“U are the ONE created to complete me” – she thought

Gently kissing her forehead, he brushed his lips against her

“Thank you Creator” in her mind she uttered

‘Coz for long she awaited - this union!

Somebody shook her, calling out her name

This horizon now didn’t seem the same

No longer was she dressed in his same shade

The groom and bride, however, coordinated in jade

These events often transported her of late!

Her trance broken, she remained bewildered

“What went wrong?”; no one answered

“I tried my best”, she lamented, “but it wasn’t enough”

She wasn’t ready for this – a road this rough…

He left without any word; not even a bye

Only despair and loneliness with sadness and sigh

There won’t be any hard feelings – they had promised

The bestseller he had promised…their story to the end

                                                          Still remain “UNFINISHED!”
